Friends and family, as you all know, hurricane Harvey has wreaked havoc in South Texas. My parents, sister, and nephew live in Victoria. Their home and their jobs were directly affected by the hurricane. I've established a PlumFund to directly help my parents and my sister rebuild their lives. All donations will go directly to my parents and my sister. Funds will be 100% allocated towards their insurance deductibles as well as covering their living expenses until they are able to work again. Our goal is $10,000, which will be enough to pay their auto and home deductibles (my dad's car was crushed), plus provide approximately six weeks living expenses until they are back on their feet. Thank you in advance for your generosity and kindness.

Latest Update

A face to the name. I first wanted you to see who you are supporting! From Left to Right: Mike, Trish, Aimee, Jaydon and Annise Update: The insurance adjuster has arrived! A new roof was approved along with some interior repairs. The fence was not covered so funds raised will help to cover that cost. This fundraiser also helped restock refrigerators from the power outage and replaced electrical boxes that were blown out by downed trees. Mike, Aimee and Annise have been traveling across Texas to get work and pay bills as Victoria continues to recover but are headed home soon. It cannot be said enough how thankful we all are for your generosity, prayers and support as the McCurrin family continues moving forward after the storm.

Update from the clean up. We loaded uo all your generous donations of goods, supplies and gifts cards and drove to Victoria along with other McCurrin family members. It was a successful trip as we cleared the yard of fallen debris, placed tarps on the roof and cut down remaining trees and limbs. The house was also put back together after the flood prevention efforts. Power was restored during our visit and life can begin to go back to normal. Because of your generosity we were able to help others in the storm path in Victoria as well. Now the McCurrin family waits for insurance assessments and begins to go back to work.
